In a progressive initiative aimed at fostering digital literacy and empowering unemployed youth, the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), in partnership with Accenture and the Moses Kotane Institute (MKI), has launched the Website Development and Digital Marketing Training Programme. This opportunity is not just a training course — it’s a stepping stone to a digital future that promises innovation, employability, and entrepreneurial growth for South Africa’s youth.
As the digital economy continues to evolve, the need for skilled professionals in web development and digital marketing has become paramount. Recognizing this urgent demand, the NYDA, alongside its strategic partners, seeks to upskill and empower young individuals who are passionate about technology and marketing, ensuring they are ready to compete and thrive in a modern job market.
WHAT THE PROGRAMME OFFERS:
This comprehensive training programme covers two in-demand areas:
- Website Development: Participants will gain foundational to intermediate skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Content Management Systems (like WordPress), equipping them with the tools to design, build, and maintain modern, responsive websites.
- Digital Marketing: Trainees will be taught the fundamentals of online marketing, including search engine optimization (SEO), social media strategy, Google Ads, email campaigns, and content marketing. This prepares them to execute full-scale digital campaigns for businesses or their own startups.
Delivered through expert mentorship and practical learning sessions, the programme ensures real-world exposure with simulations, project-based assignments, and certification upon completion.
