The North West Department of Health has officially opened applications for its 2025/2026 Internship Programme, offering structured workplace training to help young people gain meaningful experience within the public health sector.

This programme supports both TVET N6 students needing workplace experience and university graduates seeking exposure within government departments.

18 Months Fixed-Term Contract

Stipend: R6 759.25 per month

  • N6 Certificate from a recognised TVET College
  • Experiential learning letter (workplace-based training requirement)

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from a recognised university or college.

  5. Certified qualifications (only for shortlisted candidates)
  6. Foreign qualifications must include a SAQA evaluation certificate

  1. Can foreign nationals apply?

Only South African citizens or permanent residents with valid permits.

  1. What if my qualification is from outside South Africa?

You must attach a SAQA evaluation.
