About the Learnership Programme
Successful candidates will undergo training at the Mpumalanga Traffic Training College, situated in Mkhuhlu (Calcutta) within the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality. The learnership spans 12 months, culminating in a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officer: NQF Level 4. This qualification prepares learners to enter the field of road traffic law enforcement as competent, professional, and disciplined officers.
The Department will conduct thorough personnel suitability checks on all selected candidates. These checks include:
- Qualification verifications
- Criminal record checks
- Citizenship verification
- Financial record assessments
- Driving license validation
Upon successful completion, learners will have gained both theoretical and practical exposure, setting them on the path toward a fulfilling career in public safety.
