Mogale City Municipality: Plant Production Learnership Programme 2025/2026 (X25 Posts)

 

 

Mogale City Local Municipality, situated in the West Rand District of Gauteng, is offering a valuable opportunity for unemployed youth residing within the municipality. Through its Enterprise and Rural Development division, the Municipality invites applications for 25 Plant Production Learnerships aimed at developing skills in agriculture, tourism, environmental studies, and horticulture.

About the Learnership

Post: Plant Production Learnership (x25)
Duration: 12 Months (Non-Renewable)
Focus Area: Applicants must reside within the Mogale City Local Municipality
Stipend: R2 000 per month (to be paid by the Training Services Provider)

This programme is part of Mogale City’s commitment to providing equal employment opportunities as outlined in the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998, with a focus on previously disadvantaged and disabled persons.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification, with Mathematics (Pure Maths or Maths Literacy).
  • Must be unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
  • Must reside within Mogale City Local Municipality.
  • Must have no criminal record.
  • Must not be participating in another SETA programme or receiving NSFAS funding.
  • Applicants with N6 qualifications should not apply.
  • Must be a South African citizen.

Learnership Qualification (Advantageous)

  • Recruitment of 25 eligible learners for the Plant Production Learnership (NQF Level 3, ID 49052).
  • Designed for learners passionate about Agriculture, Tourism, Environmental Studies, and Horticulture.

 

 

How to Apply

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  1. A detailed application letter stating the post and qualification being applied for.
  2. A Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  3. Certified copies of ID (two copies).
  4. An original stamped letter from the Ward Councillor confirming that the applicant resides in the local area.
  5. All relevant qualification certificates, certified from original documents and not older than six months.
