About the Eskom Hospitality Learnership Programme

This programme is designed to give learners real-world kitchen and hospitality experience, focusing on technical and administrative functions within a professional catering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Successful learners will:

  • Prepare and produce food in line with catering standards
  • Assist with stock control and kitchen inventory
  • Perform administrative tasks and implement ISO standards
  • Provide quality customer service to clients and visitors
  • Maintain health, hygiene, and safety requirements at all times

Learners will shadow and support the Executive Chef while rotating across various kitchen departments for practical exposure.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification

You need one of the following NQF Level 6 (240 credits) qualifications:

  • National Diploma in Catering Management
  • National N Diploma in Catering Management
  • Hospitality and Catering Services Qualification
  • Hotel School Qualification at NQF 6

Work Experience

  • At least 2 years of practical experience across all major kitchen departments (hot kitchen, cold kitchen, bakery, scullery, stores, etc.)
