The Ekurhuleni West TVET College Administrative Internship Programme presents a valuable opportunity for South African graduates eager to kickstart their professional careers within the public education sector. This structured internship is designed to provide practical workplace experience, mentorship, and hands-on skills development in an administrative environment — all within one of Gauteng’s most prominent technical and vocational education institutions.
BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN STUDY AND WORK
For many graduates, breaking into the job market remains a challenge due to the classic conundrum: employers want experience, but you need a job to gain it. The Ekurhuleni West TVET College (EWC) Administrative Internship Programme addresses this gap by providing on-the-job training aligned with theoretical learning.
Interns are placed within different departments of the college, including finance, human resources, student support services, and academic administration. This exposure gives them insight into how a major educational institution operates while equipping them with marketable skills such as office management, document handling, records processing, and effective communication.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
This internship is typically open to unemployed South African graduates under the age of 35 who have completed qualifications in:
