Curro, one of South Africa’s leading independent school networks, has announced an exciting opportunity for young South Africans to participate in its Youth Employment Service (YES) Candidate Learnership Programme. With a total of 28 posts available, this programme is designed to provide unemployed youth with hands-on work experience, skills development, and an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to education and community development.
This 12-month initiative is part of Curro’s commitment to tackling youth unemployment while simultaneously nurturing the next generation of administrators, educator assistants, and sports coaches. Available YES Candidate Opportunities
The programme has the following vacancies:
- Admin YES Candidates (X10)
Support the smooth running of administrative functions across schools. - Educator Assistant YES Candidates (X10)
Provide support to teachers in classrooms, assist with learning materials, and contribute to the holistic development of learners. - Sports Coach YES Candidates (X8)
Promote physical education, assist in sports programmes, and encourage healthy living and teamwork among learners.
Programme Details
- Duration: 12 months
- Stipend: Between R5 000 – R5 800 per month
This stipend ensures that candidates can focus on building their careers while receiving a modest income during the programme.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Must be a South African youth between the ages of 18 and 34 years old.
- Must have been previously unemployed before applying.
- Relevant educational qualifications:
- Education or related studies (for Educator Assistants)
- Administration, Office Management, HR, or related field (for Admin YES Candidates)
- Sports Management, Coaching, Physical Education, or related field (for Sports Coaches)
