Be the person who makes a new city feel easy.The role

We are Drop Zero Digital, a lifecycle marketing agency. Our founder is moving to Cape Town around 20 November 2026 and we are hiring one local personal assistant to work directly for him. You will be his first hire in the city and his first point of contact for almost everything.

Before he arrives, you work remotely from Cape Town. You plan his accommodation, find a co-working space and set up whatever else he needs to land well. Once he is here, the job is in person. You help him settle in, go with him to the co-working space, and act as a local guide and a friendly, trusted face in a new city. This is a strictly professional working relationship, and it is not a romantic one.

What the work covers
  • Personal and social diary, including dating app admin, events he hosts and events elsewhere, and his photos and Instagram.
  • Building his personal profile in the city.
  • Personal life admin in every area: bookings, errands, appointments, paperwork and the small things that eat a day.
  • Finding and managing local help. The first task is arranging an on-call driver for the month, because safety matters in Cape Town. You will source, vet and brief people, and keep it running.
  • Some business admin as it comes up.

    • You will handle personal and private information every day. Discretion is not a nice to have, it is the job.

    What we are looking for
  • You live in Cape Town and know it well: neighbourhoods, venues, getting around safely, who is reliable.
  • You are accurate with detail. Dates, addresses and bookings are right the first time.
  • You plan well under constraints such as budget, time and safety.
  • You use judgement in social situations and know when to step forward and when to stay in the background.
  • You can take a no from a vendor and find another way without being asked.
  • You write clearly and tell us early when something is going wrong.

  • Application with a short Loom video.
  • A short written step: your internet speed, your computer, and a few questions in your own words.
  • Aptitude tests, with a published floor.
  • A recorded video interview. One take, no re-records.
  • A short call with the founder.
  • Based in Cape Town City and available to work in person.
  • Available from 6 November 2026 for remote preparation, and in person from 20 November 2026.
  • Reliable internet, at least 30 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up, tested live with us.
  • Strong written English.
  • Comfortable with personal and social admin, including dating app logistics.
  • A car and licence are helpful but not required.

    • 1000 USD per month, plus a bonus for exceptional work.
