Job Description:
Join Job Duck as an Intake Specialist and become the welcoming first point of contact for individuals seeking family law support. In this role, you will answer incoming calls, gather essential information, assess prospective clients, and schedule consultations while ensuring every interaction is handled with empathy and professionalism. You will help maintain accurate client records and create an organized intake experience that allows the legal team to respond effectively to each inquiry. This opportunity is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, pays close attention to details, and understands the importance of honesty and confidentiality. • Monthly Compensation Range: $1,142 to $1,220 USD
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Vet prospective clients according to the firm’s established criteria and procedures.
• Listen carefully to callers and gather the information required for the intake process.
• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients seeking family law services.
• Schedule consultations based on attorney availability and established scheduling procedures.
• Maintain complete, organized, and current intake records.
• Enter caller and prospective client information accurately into Lawmatics.
• Ask appropriate intake questions to understand each caller’s needs and circumstances.
• Answer approximately 30 to 40 incoming calls each day in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
• Support additional intake and client service tasks as assigned and appropriately trained.
• Follow up on prospective client inquiries when requested.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, attorneys, and administrative team members.
• Provide callers with clear information regarding next steps in the consultation process.
• Use RingCentral to manage incoming and outgoing telephone communications.
• Maintain consistent availability throughout the established working schedule.
• Identify missing or incomplete intake information and obtain the necessary details.
• Protect confidential client and prospective client information.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with individuals who may be experiencing sensitive family situations.
Requirements:
• Full time remote position
• Working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST
• Location and time zone supported: Maryland, Eastern Standard Time
• Language requirement: Advanced spoken and written English
• Spanish is not required
• Approximately 30 to 40 incoming calls per day
• Previous intake, customer service, reception, lead qualification, or client facing experience is required
• Previous experience using a customer relationship management platform is preferred
• Experience in a law firm or family law environment is preferred but not required
• Ability to gather and document sensitive information accurately
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Reliable availability throughout the established working schedule
• Strong internet connection and a professional remote workspace
