The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) invites young South Africans who are ambitious, hardworking, and want to build a career to apply for its Project Management Internship Programme. There are four (4) internship positions open, which makes this program a great way for graduates to get real work experience at one of the country’s most important regulatory bodies.

This is the perfect chance for you if you are a recent graduate who wants to work in project management and get real-world experience in a professional, organized setting.

Who Should Apply?

This internship is specifically for South African youth who are unemployed and need hands-on experience to get their careers off the ground. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be unemployed graduates who have earned a degree or diploma from a recognized college or university.
  • Be graduates who haven’t had any formal work experience.
  • Be graduates who have never done an internship before.
  • Be South African citizens who are between the ages of 18 and 35.

CIPC is dedicated to helping young people grow, get ready for the workplace, and learn new skills in South Africa’s public and corporate governance sectors. This program is a part of that.

What the Internship Gives You

Those who are chosen will get:

  • A monthly payment of R12,000

This money helps interns pay for things like transportation, food, and other basic living expenses while they are training.

All chosen interns will have to sign an internship agreement that spells out what they are expected to do, what they will learn, and what their responsibilities will be during the program.

  • Getting to do real project management work

Interns will be able to learn by working with experienced project managers, administrators, and cross-functional teams.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for the CIPC Project Management Internship Programme, applicants must have:

A degree or diploma in:

Project Management (Any qualification that is similar and includes Project Management will also be accepted.)

  • More Skills and Knowledge That Are Recommended
  • Knowledge of project management methods like Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, and others.

Taking a project management course or getting a certification, like:

  • CAPM stands for “Certified Associate in Project Management.”
  • PRINCE2 Basics
  • Courses on the Basics of Agile and PM (These aren’t required, but they will help applicants a lot.)

Applicants must upload all of their supporting documents correctly, which include:

  • CV that has been updated
  • ID from South Africa
  • A degree or diploma that is relevant
