10 X LIFEGUARDS CONTRACTUAL FOR BLUE FLAG BEACHES WITHIN NDLAMBE MUNICIPALITY 2024/2025 & 16 X LIFEGUARDS CONTRACTUAL FOR NDLAMBE SWIMMING BEACHES ON TASK GRADE 05 OF A CATEGORY 3 LOCAL MUNICIPALITY
- Salary: R 11 366.52 pm
Beaches where lifeguards are required: The following beaches will be covered for the period, and it is the sole decision of the Ndlambe municipality where individual lifeguards are to be placed:
- Kariega Blue Flag Beach (Kenton-on Sea) – 4 Lifeguards
- Kelly’s Blue Flag Beach (Port Alfred) – 3 Lifeguards
- Middle Blue flag beach (Kenton-on Sea) – 3 Lifeguards
- Kleinemonde Island Beach – 3 Lifeguards
- Port Alfred (East Beach) – 3 Lifeguards
- Bushman’s slipway Beach – 3 Lifeguards
- Boknesstrand Beach – 4 Lifeguards
- Fish River Mouth Beach – 3 Lifeguards
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualification: Lifeguard Award (LA) or Surf Proficiency Award (SPA) with a valid and up-todate retest
- At least three season’s experience of lifesaving on a Blue Flag Beach preferably within the Ndlambe area or Eastern Cape for Blue Flag contractual appointments.
- At least one season’s experience of lifesaving on a swimming beach preferably within the Ndlambe area or Eastern Cape for seasonal swimming beach lifeguards’ contractual appointments.
- Lifeguards residing in the Ndlambe area will be given preference as no accommodation or meals will be provided.
- An official application form with a copy of relevant certificates / re-tests needs to be submitted. Candidates will be contacted after closing date
- Lifeguards need to be in possession of a working cellphone and have airtime loaded whilst on duty.
