The KwaZulu Natal Department of Education invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Administrative Examination Assistant Vacancies. The closing date for applications is the 31st March 2025
MARKING SESSIONS:
May/June Senior Certificate (SC)/National Senior Certificate (NSC)
- 28 June – 11 July 2025
2025 October/November National Senior Certificate (NSC)
- 25 November – 18 December 2025
REQUIREMENTS:
- Persons eligible to be employed as Examination Assistants will be:
- Students currently registered at tertiary institutions.
- Applicants must be a resident within the area of the marking venue and must have own transport and accommodation.
- Applicants must be South African citizens and in possession of a green barcoded identity document/smart card.
- Applicants must not be in any form of employment for remuneration at the time of applying, including stipend received when in a Learnership Programme or as an Intern.
- Please ensure that the provided contact numbers and emails are correct and up to date.
The Department shall not take responsibility for the applicant’s unavailability if the contact numbers and email addresses provided are incorrect or have subsequently changed or whatsoever.

Candidates short-listed for an interview will be required to provide the following documentation, on the date of the interview and failure to do so will result in the candidate being disqualified for the position:
- Certified copies of qualifications, driver’s licence (where applicable).
- Copies of acting appointment letters for occupying acting positions (where applicable).
- Identity Document/Permanent Resident Permit for non-RSA Citizens (where applicable).
- Relevant registration with professional body (where applicable).
