About the Companies Tribunal
The Companies Tribunal is an agency of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), established under the Companies Act 71 of 2008. Its mandate is to:
- adjudicate applications made in terms of the Companies Act,
- review decisions issued by the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC),
- provide a forum for alternative dispute resolution relating to company law matters.

Minimum Requirements
- A 3-year Degree in Accounting OR
- BCom in Accounting
- No work experience required
- Must not have participated in an internship before
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel)
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Intern, you will participate in activities such as:
- Processing invoices and preparing payments
- Administering the invoice register
- Processing payroll input and preparing payroll reconciliations
- Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
- Reconciling financial records
- Preparing journals (Assets, Accruals, Prepayments, Payroll, Reclassification, etc.)
- Expense verification
- Following up on payments
- Inventory and asset count support
This internship is excellent for graduates with an interest in finance, bookkeeping or auditing.
Registry Internship (REF: 09/2025)
- Location: Pretoria
- Duration: 24 months
- Stipend: R88 232,29 – R93 647,93 per annum
Minimum Requirements
- A Degree/Diploma in:
- Public Administration
- Management
- Law
- Paralegal Studies
- No internship experience or prior employment
- Strong skills in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities
You will support the Registry division with:
- Administration of case-related activities
- Hearings logistics
- Administration of members’ claims
- Providing support to the Registrar
- Issuing directives and reminders to members
- Implementing records management strategies
- Filing records from all divisions
This internship is ideal for law, admin or public management students who want exposure to quasi-judicial operations.
Administrative Support Internship (REF: 08/2025)
- Location: Pretoria
- Duration: 24 months
- Stipend: R88 232,29 – R93 647,93 per annum
Minimum Requirements
- A 3-year National Diploma in Public Administration, Office Administration or a related field
- No work experience required
- No previous internship participation
- Strong computer skills

- Communication – handling calls, emails and written correspondence

- Liaison Work – internal and external communication
