The Mossel Bay Municipality, an employer committed to equal employment opportunities, is inviting qualified and unemployed South African graduates residing within the Mossel Bay Municipal boundaries to apply for the Local Economic Development (LED) Internship Programme under the Planning and Economic Development Department.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity for young graduates to gain valuable work experience related to their field of study within a professional municipal environment.

About The Internship Programme

The internship aims to support unemployed graduates who have completed a three-year Degree or National Diploma from a recognised higher education institution. Successful candidates will gain practical exposure in Local Economic Development, Tourism, Marketing, Business Administration, and Investment Promotion functions within the municipality.

Location: Mossel Bay
Type of Appointment: Contractual
Duration: 12 months (with an option to extend for a further 12–24 months, up to a maximum of 3 years)
Monthly Stipend: R9 274.85

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to qualify:

Hold a National Diploma or Degree (minimum NQF Level 6) in:
- Tourism Management
- Marketing
- Local Economic Development
- Business Administration
- Investment Promotion
- or any related field
Possess a valid Code B driver’s licence (manual vehicle)
Be fluent in at least two (2) of the three (3) official languages of the Western Cape
Be computer literate (MS Office applications)
Must have never been employed as an Intern in the Public Sector
Must be willing to work overtime when required
