Mthashana TVET College WIL Programme Funded by CATHSSETA for 2025

Mthashana TVET College, in partnership with the Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA), has launched an exciting Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical workplace experience. This initiative is specifically tailored for students who have completed their N6 qualifications or NCV Level 4 in Tourism Management and Hospitality Management—fields that play a vital role in the South African economy.

Why the WIL Programme Matters

For many TVET graduates, the lack of practical work experience stands as a significant barrier to obtaining a diploma or securing meaningful employment. Mthashana TVET College’s WIL programme directly addresses this challenge by providing a structured work placement opportunity, allowing students to gain real-world exposure while completing their diploma requirements.

The WIL programme is fully funded by CATHSSETA, which ensures that selected participants receive support throughout their experiential learning period. Not only does this boost employability, but it also enhances confidence, technical competence, and workplace readiness.
