Who Can Apply?
The bursary is open to all South African citizens who are registered for full-time undergraduate studies in 2026 at a DHET/CHE-accredited tertiary institution. Please note: Master’s and Doctoral students are not eligible.

- Grade 12 learners: Bachelor’s Pass with at least 70% average.
- Tertiary students: A minimum 65% average.
VWGA will give preference to students from designated groups, in line with its Employment Equity Plan.

All applicants must ensure their certified documents are less than 3 months old and, where applicable, scan them into a single file for submission. Depending on your status (matriculant, current undergrad, or gap-year student), requirements include:
- Certified copy of your South African ID
- Motivational statement (1–2 pages)
- Certified matric certificate, latest academic records, and proof of registration (if already enrolled)
- Parents’/Guardians’ certified ID copies or death certificate
- Comprehensive CV
- Fee statements, accommodation lease agreements, or acceptance letters (if applicable)
- Optional: proof of other funding (e.g., NSFAS), medical documents if living with a disability

Selection Process
