South African Red Cross Society: TVET Work-Based Internship Opportunities 2025

The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) is opening doors for ambitious TVET N6 graduates to gain the practical workplace exposure required to complete their diplomas—while contributing to humanitarian work that changes lives every day. If you’ve finished your N6 and are ready for real-world experience, this 18-month, paid internship is for you.

Duration: 18 months
Stipend: R5,000 per month

Who Should Apply (Eligibility)

• N6 TVET College Qualification in the relevant field (HR/Marketing/Financial Management)
• South African citizen
• Unemployed and not receiving any state bursaries/allowances
• 18 years or older
• Willing to commit to the full 18-month work placement
• Seeking experiential training (WBE) to meet your diploma requirements

What You’ll Learn & Do

Human Resource Management (Durban)

• Support recruitment admin (scheduling, documentation, onboarding packs)
• Maintain personnel files and HRIS data integrity
• Assist with induction, leave tracking, training coordination & employee engagement

Marketing Management (Nelspruit)

• Assist with community outreach campaigns and partner activations
• Draft content for social media, newsletters and basic collateral
• Help with event logistics, market research and brand compliance checks

Financial Management (Bloemfontein, Mokopane, Kimberley, Mafikeng)

• Process invoices, purchase orders, petty cash and reconciliations
• Support month-end close tasks and audit file preparation
• Maintain accurate filing, assist with supplier queries & compliance records
