JOB ADVERT SUMMARY:
Responsible for the maintenance of water and sewer water network, leaks repairs, Inspections and testing of plumbing equipment to meet the specified standards. Reporting problems to the Supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 3 and Certificate in plumbing
- 2 year working experience in a similar environment
- Knowledge of the welding and plumbing field
- Ability to do minor repairs
- Knowledge of OSHA and safe working procedures
- Physically and Medical fit.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assist in maintenance, fabrication, and repairs of pipeline components.
- General maintenance and loading and unloading of equipment.
- Cleaning of tools and equipment
- Assist on the daily routine plumbing maintenance.
- Cleaning of the Pump blockages as and when required.
- Record and Report all fault Equipment
Knowledge
- General maintenance
- Safety knowledge
- Knowledge of plumbing
- Basic understanding of Water network and Sewer Network
- Basic understanding of valves, pressure and flow principles
- Safety working procedures
Skills
- Ability to conduct water and sewer repairs
- Good communication skills (verbal)
- Good housekeeping skills
- Able to work under pressure
