Sanlam, one of South Africa’s most prominent financial services groups, has long been recognized for its commitment to developing future leaders in the actuarial profession. Through the Sanlam Actuarial Bursary Programme for 2026, the company continues to invest in top-performing students who demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for actuarial science. If you are a bright and driven learner looking to pursue a career in actuarial studies, this bursary could be your gateway to a rewarding and impactful career.
What is the Sanlam Actuarial Bursary Programme?
The Sanlam Actuarial Bursary Programme is a highly competitive funding initiative designed to support high-achieving students who are interested in qualifying as actuaries. Actuarial science is a field that blends mathematics, statistics, and financial theory to study uncertain future events—making actuaries critical to risk management in sectors such as insurance, investments, and pensions.
Sanlam not only funds students’ tuition, accommodation, and other study-related expenses but also offers career guidance, mentorship, and practical work exposure.
