Sekhukhune District Municipality invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Permanent Fire Fighter Vacancies (X21 Posts). The closing date for applications is the 6th October 2023
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12, Firefighter 1 course, or equivalent to Firefighter 1 course;
- Hazmat Awareness;
- First Aid Level 3 and Medical Test NFPA 1582.
- No criminal record.
EXPERIENCE:
One year relevant operational experience, with Code EB Drivers Licence will be an added advantage.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
- Local government legislations.
- The incumbent will also be expected to have good interpersonal relations and communications skills.
SUMMARY OF CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Perform efficacious fire services and respond to fire and rescue incidents in and out of the area of jurisdiction.
- Perform special services as notified;
- Perform humanitarian services, respond to all emergency incidents;
- Ensure effective and efficient fire preventative strategies;
- Ensure inspections of fire equipment.
- Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by relevant seniors in the District.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations, must not be claustrophobic,
- Must not be alto phobic, Flexibility.
