The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Permanent Cleaner / Housekeeper Vacancies (X3 Posts). The closing date for applications is the 22nd December 2023
POSTS: CLEANER / HOUSEKEEPER X3
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To support and assist the responsible manager to maintain a safe and clean environment. Cleaning areas as assigned include floors, bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, windows, common areas, outside yards etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean offices, vacuum rooms and corridors and empty all waste bins
- Work with the cleaning team to ensure that the JDA is clean and tidy at all times
- Set up boardrooms for meetings. This may involve preparing tea/coffee/moving furniture and/or equipment around the room or from another area of the building
- Observe health & safety procedures
- Work safely at all times and report any potential hazards, faults or problems to a Section Supervisor or the Facilities Manager
- Sweep and mop floor surfaces
- Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the Facilities Manager. Conduct any adhoc duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Grade 12 qualification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping.
