Key Responsibilities
- Patrol public areas to ensure compliance with municipal by-laws.
- Assist in the enforcement of traffic and safety regulations.
- Respond to public complaints and service requests.
- Perform crowd control duties at public events and gatherings.
- Work closely with other law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
- Compile daily reports on incidents, patrol activities, and law violations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate.
- Valid Code B (or higher) Driver’s License.
- Must be physically fit and medically healthy to perform patrol duties.
- No criminal record (a criminal check will be conducted).
- Must be able to work irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Willingness to undergo a Law Enforcement or Peace Officer Training Course if not already completed.
Added Advantages
- Peace Officer/Law Enforcement Certificate.
- Relevant security/law enforcement experience.
- Knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act, Road Traffic Act, and municipal by-laws.
