The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) is offering a 12-month Graduate Internship Programme for 2025/2026, and this is your chance to gain practical experience, grow your career, and help protect one of South Africa’s most treasured provinces.

The MTPA is opening doors for unemployed graduates who have completed a Postgraduate Diploma (NQF Level 8) to participate in its structured internship programme. The initiative aims to empower the province’s youth, sharpen their professional skills, and prepare them for the job market, while contributing to Mpumalanga’s tourism, parks, and environmental preservation efforts.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Have completed a Postgraduate Diploma (NQF Level 8) in one of the following fields of study:
    • Environmental Science (6 positions)
    • Wildlife Management (6 positions)
    • Tourism and Hospitality Management (4 positions)
    • Human Resources Management (5 positions)
    • Graphic Design (3 positions)
  • Be currently unemployed.
  • Reside in Mpumalanga Province.
  • Have studied at a public university or university of technology.

How to Apply

Candidates are encouraged to act quickly and prepare the following:

  • Certified copy of ID
  • Certified academic records and qualifications
  • Updated CV
  • Proof of residence in Mpumalanga

Applicants must specify on the covering letter the qualification they are applying for, and the name of the Base Station or Unit they are applying for.

Submit to any of the nearest MTPA Nature Reserve or hand deliver the application at the MTPA Head Office, N4 National Road, Hall’s Gateway, Mataffin, Block J Office J18.

ONLY hand delivered applications will be considered.
