About the Role of an HR Intern
The HR Intern will be a key part of helping Mintek’s Human Resources Division. The intern will help with administrative, operational, and professional tasks related to hiring, training, onboarding, and compliance under the direction of experienced HR Business Partners (HRBPs).

Key Performance Indicators (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Managing hiring and staffing
- In charge of running the whole hiring process.
- Oversee the entire hiring process for junior positions and talent pipeline programs.
- Get job applications, write them down, and make sure they are complete.
- Help with screening, testing, and assessment before the interview.
- Check that the candidate is following the law, including having the right to work.
- Help HRBPs prepare for and follow up on interviews.
- Take notes on and share detailed feedback from interviews.
- Give competency and psychometric tests when needed.
- Do reference checks and pre-screening.
- Plan and coordinate the logistics of interview panels and schedules.
- Finish the paperwork for hiring, such as contracts and onboarding forms.
- Set up occupational health assessments before hiring someone.
- Help with training and skill development
- Help put together the training calendar for the organization.
- Take care of payments and registrations for classes.
- Keep track of, watch over, and talk about the requirements for training attendance.
- Give out training and pre-work materials.
- Make attendance sheets and evaluation forms for learning programs.
- Get all the training-related information right and keep it safe.
- Get the places where people will train and learn ready.
- Help the Skills Development Officer put together learning records for SETA, BEE, EE, and WSP/ATR reporting.

- Help with running the bursary program.
- Make sure that universities get their bursary payments.

Minimum Requirements
- Honours (NQF Level 8) in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a field that is very similar.
- The best qualification is a master’s degree in the right field.
Salary Package: R186,180.00 per year
