In an era where practical experience has become as valuable as academic qualifications, Mbula Research and Development in Partnership with MICT SETA have announced their Graduate Internship Programme which is a timely and transformative opportunity for graduates across South Africa. This initiative is strategically designed to support young, talented individuals who are eager to launch their careers within the dynamic fields of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

What is the Mbula and MICT SETA Partnership All About?

Mbula Research and Development, a forward-thinking organization committed to digital innovation and economic empowerment, has joined hands with the Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA) to offer an internship programme that cultivates real-world skills in the ICT sector. This partnership stands as a testament to the importance of public-private collaboration in nurturing the future workforce.

The internship programme focuses on providing structured, on-the-job training that aligns with MICT SETA’s mandate to increase the competence of South Africa’s ICT workforce. Through this initiative, young graduates are equipped not only with technical skills but also with the professional competencies required to thrive in fast-paced work environments.

 

 

THE FOLLOWING INTERNSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE:

IT Business Analyst / Business Analyst

Collaborate with the various units to develop/improve models that support business objectives by working closely with management and IT teams. Develop and implement business strategies and initiatives.

Game / Multimedia Developer

Translate ideas and requirements into multimedia computer products by combining artwork and software development. Design and create products such as games, apps, graphics, and interactive websites.

Systems Engineer / Developer

Develop and deploy high-quality, innovative, and functional software/hardware systems. Enhance processes and services by assessing computer/IT systems and business operations.

Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Execute agreed sales and profitability targets established by the business. Create a strong brand presence for the business, products, and services.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates should have 3-year tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) or NQF level 5 in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development or relevant qualification: Business Analysis, Business Management, Graphic Design, Marketing.
  • South African citizen
  • NOT previously enrolled for the same internship/MICT SETA programme

WHAT INTERNS CAN EXPECT:

Selected interns will participate in a 12-month programme that blends theory with workplace-based learning. They will receive mentorship from seasoned professionals and contribute to projects that are both challenging and meaningful. Interns will also gain proficiency in using industry-standard tools and platforms—greatly enhancing their employability.

A monthly stipend is provided to support participants during the programme, ensuring that interns can focus on learning and growing without financial stress.
