The South African National Parks (SANPARKS) invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Field Guard Monitor Vacancies (X7 Posts). The closing date for applications is the 17th December 2024

POSTS: FIELD GUARD MONITORS X7

Term: Six Months Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Kruger National Park

REQUIREMENTS:

Firearm documentation required:

Firearm competency – Manual Loading/bolt action (Unit standards 117705, 119651, and 123519)
Valid Regulation 79 or 21 – bolt action or manual, no criminal record (valid SAPS Clearance certificate to be submitted as part of the application)
Grade 12 certificate
Must have done a Basic Field Ranger course.
Medical Certificate of Fitness.
Understanding the Basic principles of Health & Safety (Health & Safety level 1)
Ability to do extended patrols under difficult conditions.
Physically fit & passionate about conservation and people.
Candidates must have a basic understanding, preferably with experience of Field Ranger duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guarding/protecting contractors as well as maintenance teams.
Enforcing law, order, and discipline through NEMA.
Ensure accurate records of incidents or sightings are kept.
Undertaking routine patrols by means of foot or vehicle.
Assisting with Conservation-related activities.
