This independent body is tasked with resolving complaints against financial service providers in a procedurally fair, informal, economical, and expeditious manner. Headquartered in the east of Pretoria, the FAIS Ombud plays a pivotal role in ensuring justice and accountability within the financial sector.
Programme Overview
The FAIS Ombud Client Care Graduate Internship Programme runs for 12 months and is designed to offer graduates hands-on experience in the Client Care Department, complemented by structured mentorship and skills development. Interns will receive competency-based training under the guidance of seasoned professionals, including lawyers, financial planners, investigators, and dispute resolution experts.

Key Responsibilities
Interns will be actively involved in supporting the Client Care Department through:
- Registering new complaints and assessing their eligibility under the FAIS and FSOS Acts.
- Guiding complainants on jurisdiction matters.
- Liaising with both complainants and financial service providers.
- Referring non-jurisdictional complaints to appropriate institutions.
- Extracting essential information from complaints and conducting follow-ups as needed.
