The Emalahleni Local Municipality is inviting applications for its External Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This bursary programme is aimed at supporting young people from historically disadvantaged backgrounds who reside within the jurisdiction of Emalahleni and are eager to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at public South African universities or TVET colleges.

Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the bursary, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be South African citizens residing in Emalahleni.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
- Intend to pursue undergraduate studies at a public higher education institution in South Africa.
- Demonstrate proven financial need, supported by household income evidence.
- Provide accurate and complete information, as incomplete or incorrect applications will be disqualified.
- Be prepared to sign a bursary agreement with the Emalahleni Local Municipality.
