Tshwane University of Technology’s Directorate of Student Development and Support (SDS) is offering four (4) Counselling Psychology Internship opportunities at Pretoria West Campus. This 12-month internship begins 2 January 2026 and is designed to consolidate your MA training while you deliver professional counselling services to TUT students and partner communities.

What you’ll do (Key Responsibilities)
- Provide professional counselling to registered TUT students (individual and group).
- Promote student success by developing academic, personal, and wellness skills.
- Design and deliver psycho-educative programmes (talks, workshops, training).
- Community impact: provide individual and group counselling to children at a local children’s home.
- Administration & compliance: maintain accurate records and meet SDS reporting requirements.
- Team collaboration: contribute actively to a supportive, high-performance multidisciplinary team.
Note: Shortlisted candidates may be required to present or undergo competency testing as part of the selection process.
Minimum entry requirement
- Currently registered as an MA (Counselling Psychology) student at a recognised university.
