Transnet Freight Rail offers an excellent platform to young, vibrant, enthusiastic TVET students who are between the ages of 18-35 to enter an 18-month work integrated learning/In-service training programme within various functional areas respectively to obtain on the job training required by their Institute of Higher Learning to acquire their qualifications post theoretical training at the college.
This opportunity is open to all students from registered TVET Colleges within the Republic of South Africa and has completed theoretical training at the college. Consideration will be strictly given to applicants in need of in-service training to acquire their qualifications.
The following are the required qualifications/field of study:
- N6 Safety / Risk / Environmental Management
- N6 Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Studies
- N6 Civil Engineering,
- N6 Finance Management
- N6 Transport / Operations Management
- N6 Supply Chain / Logistics Management
- N6 Communications/ Public Relations/ Marketing Management
- N6 Human Resource Management
Applications will be considered only from applicants residing in the following areas/municipalities:
- Mogale City Local Municipality: Krugersdorp
- Ngaka Modiri Molema District: Mahikeng
- Ekurhuleni Local Municipality: Germiston, Kempton Park, Benoni
- Vereeniging, Sasolburg, Klerksdorp, Potchefstroom
- Tshwane Municipality: Pretoria
The short-listed applicants will undergo a selection process. The candidate should also be prepared to undergo medical and safety behavioural risk assessments as part of the selection process.
Preference will be given to suitably qualifying applicants who are members of the designated groups in line with the Employment Equity Plan and Targets for Transnet Freight Rail. Persons living with disability are encouraged to apply.
