POSITION: GRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAMME

POSITION PURPOSE
Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) invites suitable, unemployed South African graduates between the ages of 18-35 to apply for a two-year graduate development programme, within various functional areas to be provided with both the institutionalised knowledge and on-the-job training to help you build a solid work experience to increase prospects of employability. The programme is structured and mentored for twenty-four months and candidates progress is assessed after every six months to ensure that the programme meets the expectations of both the candidate and TFR.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- National Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management OR
- Honours or master’s degree in Ergonomics or Human Factors-CSO OR
- National Diploma in Safety Management/ BA in Safety Management / BA in Disaster and Safety/Risk Management
- Experience: No prior work experience is required.
- NB: However, applicants will undergo a recruitment process, and successful candidates will be placed in various Depots (Leeuhof, Krugersdorp, Kilner Park) and Departments within TFR.
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
COMPETENCIES
- Good written and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Proficient in Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work well within a team.
- Problem solving and pays attention to detail.
