Sandvik, a global leader in mining and rock excavation equipment, is offering an exciting Artisan Bridge Learnership Programme based in Kempton Park, South Africa. With 10 posts available, this 12-month programme provides hands-on training and exposure to Sandvik products, equipping learners with valuable skills to build a sustainable career in the mining industry.

What the Programme Offers

As an Artisan Bridge Learner, you will invest your time, energy, and knowledge into developing your skills while working under the guidance of highly skilled Sandvik professionals. The programme includes:

  • Training on Sandvik Products to ensure you master world-class mining equipment and solutions.
  • On-the-job experience focused on mining machine rebuild and maintenance.
  • A 12-month structured learning programme designed to make you competitive in the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities

During the learnership, participants will:

  • Observe the conditions of the relevant employment agreement or award.
  • Attend and perform assigned work with dedication.
  • Behave professionally and respectfully at all times.
  • Follow lawful instructions as directed.
  • Work towards achieving the competencies outlined in the training plan.
  • Undertake all training and assessments as required.
  • Maintain accurate training records and produce them when required.

 

 

Who Should Apply 

To qualify for the Sandvik Artisan Bridge Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum N2 in Engineering Studies (compulsory).
  • Qualified Millwright – primary focus for this programme.
  • Electricians will also be considered.
  • Section 13 or Section 26D Trade Certificate with POE/Proof of Modules/Apprenticeship (compulsory).
  • Must be physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment.
  • Must comply with customer vaccination requirements (vaccination certificate must be attached to the application).
