Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Rosond Bursary Programme, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 30.
- Have completed Matric.
- Be studying or intending to study full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the approved fields.
- Be in your 1st to 3rd year of study at a recognised and accredited South African tertiary institution.
- Have achieved a minimum average of 60% in your latest academic results.
- Priority will be given to applicants residing within Rosond host communities.
- Preference will also be given to previously disadvantaged students pursuing studies in scarce and critical skill areas.
- Internal bursary applicants must be biological or legal dependants of Rosond employees.
Required Supporting Documents
Applicants must submit clear certified copies of the following documents along with their completed application form:
- South African ID document.
- Matric certificate.
- Full academic record or transcript (if currently studying).
- Latest financial statement or official quotation from your tertiary institution.
- Proof of registration at a recognised institution (on official letterhead).
- Motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary.
- Proof of residence.
- Proof of total household income — this includes recent payslips, bank statements, affidavits (if unemployed), or proof of grants/pensions. In the case of deceased guardians, attach a death certificate.
