Purpose of the Job

The Customer Service Consultant will respond to customer queries and complaints within the Inbound Contact Centre. The consultant will provide clear communication, excellent service, and effective problem-solving to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Consultant, the successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Answer incoming calls from customers promptly
  • Resolve queries and complaints in line with Postbank protocols
  • Ensure call answering, call handling and call waiting KPIs are met
  • Provide professional, friendly, and efficient customer service
  • Log, escalate and report potential risks or issues when identified
  • Follow TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principles
  • Maintain high-quality standards and operational compliance

Requirements

To qualify for these positions, you must have:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 1–2 years’ customer service experience in an Inbound Call Centre
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of call centre telephony systems
  • Fluent in English (any additional language is an advantage)
  • Good understanding of Customer Service and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
  • Must have a hands-on, proactive approach to work
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
