Programme Overview
The Internal Audit Internship runs for a full 24 months, giving interns extensive exposure to the internal audit lifecycle, risk assessments, internal control evaluations, and compliance audits. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and participate in projects aligned with international internal audit standards.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Educational Requirement:
- A completed three-year tertiary qualification in Internal Auditing
- A postgraduate qualification will be considered an added advantage
Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global Internal Audit Standards
- Basic understanding of key legislation such as:
- Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
- Treasury Regulations
- Other relevant regulatory frameworks
Computer Proficiency:
- Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Soft Skills:
- Good communication and report writing skills
- High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
Stipend and Benefits
Successful candidates will receive a stipend of R80,096.00 per annum, offering financial support while gaining meaningful professional experience.
