National Gambling Board (NGB) Graduate Internship Programme 2025

 

 

The National Gambling Board (NGB) is opening doors for unemployed graduates to gain hands-on work experience through its Graduate Internship Programme for 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for young professionals to step into the regulatory and oversight environment of the gambling industry, while building their careers in enforcement, technology, and communications.

Purpose of the Programme

The internship programme aims to provide structured, practical training to graduates in specialized areas that are critical to the NGB’s mandate. Interns will be exposed to industry regulations, compliance standards, and professional workplace practices, helping them gain valuable skills that improve their employability in both the public and private sectors.

Available Internship Opportunities

The NGB is inviting applications for the following disciplines:

  • Enforcement (NGB/Int 003-2025)
    • Stipend: R12,000 per month
    • Qualification: National Diploma in Policing or Bachelor’s Degree in Law/LLB
    • Focus: Supporting compliance monitoring and enforcement of gambling legislation.
  • Gaming Control (GCCD) (NGB/Int 005-2025)
    • Stipend: R12,000 per month
    • Qualification: Three-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
    • Focus: Assisting in the control and monitoring of gambling systems, data security, and IT compliance.
  • Marketing and Communications (CSRD) (NGB/Int 006-2025)
    • Stipend: R12,000 per month
    • Qualification: Three-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism
    • Focus: Supporting media relations, stakeholder engagement, and public awareness campaigns.

All interns will sign a 12-month fixed-term, non-renewable contract with the NGB. Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates and persons with disabilities.

 

 

Application Requirements

Interested graduates must complete the NGB Employment Application Form, available on the official NGB website: www.ngb.org.za. The application must be accompanied by the following certified and updated documents:

  • A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Academic transcripts or records
  • Certified copies of qualifications or a letter of completion from the institution
  • Certified copy of a valid South African Identity Document

Applications that do not include all mandatory documents will not be considered.
