Majuba TVET College, through its Partnership & Linkages Unit, has teamed up with the Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) to offer an exciting Graduate Placement Programme. This initiative is designed to empower unemployed graduates from the Amajuba and Umziyanthi Districts, giving them a chance to gain workplace exposure, professional development, and career readiness.
The programme will run for 24 months, during which successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend to support them while they acquire vital workplace skills. By connecting academic knowledge to practical work experience, this programme is a strategic step in addressing youth unemployment while building a skilled workforce for South Africa.
Who Can Apply?
The programme is open to South African citizens who are currently unemployed and not participating in any other education or training programme. Applicants must ensure that they meet the following requirements:
- Age: 80% of applicants must be below the age of 35.
- Residency: Applicants must be from Amajuba or Umziyanthi Districts.
- Qualifications: A completed Degree or Diploma in one of the following fields:
- Supply Chain Management
- Civil Engineering
- Finance
- Information Technology
- Mechanical Engineering
- Health & Safety
- Electrical Engineering
- Quality Management / Risk Management
- Internal Auditing
- Social Science/Arts with a major in Psychology
This wide range of disciplines ensures that graduates from both technical and social science backgrounds can access opportunities suited to their career paths.
