Who Can Apply? – Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this 24-month internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African Citizen under the age of 35.
- Must have completed a qualification (no current enrolments at other institutions).
- Applicants must not have participated in any learnership or internship previously.
- Must demonstrate effective English writing and verbal communication skills.
- Must hold a BCom Accounting/Financial Management (specialising in Management Accounting) or equivalent qualification.
Additional requirements:
- Applicants will undergo competency-based interviews.
- Verification checks (criminal records, qualifications, and citizenship) will be conducted.
- Successful candidates must sign a 24-month fixed-term contract.
Skills, Roles & Responsibilities
Interns will be placed at the IDC Mpumalanga Regional Office and across various departments. Responsibilities will include:
- Building and managing professional relationships.
- Supporting customer service initiatives and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Applying time management, scheduling, and attention to detail in daily tasks.
- Ensuring confidentiality and professional integrity in all work.
- Contributing to projects that require innovation, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills.
Technical Competencies:
- Solid knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- In-depth understanding of your field of study and IDC operations.
