The Newcastle Municipality invites suitably qualified unemployed Graduates to apply for their Finance Management Grant Internship Positions (X4 Posts). The closing date for applications is the 21st August 2024
POSTS: FINANCE MANAGEMENT GRANT INTERN X4
- Department: Budget and Treasury Office
- Remuneration: R 100 000,00 per annum
QUALIFICATIONS:
Three-year bachelor’s degree or National Diploma with majors in Accounting, Economies, Finance, Risk Management and/or Auditing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist mentors with the implementation of the Municipal Finance Management Act, its regulations and its reforms;
- Submit returns and reports to National Treasury and other organs of state;
- Assist Accountants in preparation of Annual Financial Statements;
- Assist Accountants with the preparation of reconciliation of various finance units;
- Assist Accountants with the preparations of the budget and the adjustments budget processes;
- Collate and prepare documentation for the payment of service providers;
- Collate and prepare documentation for the payment of salaries;
- Assist in the compilation of the Audit working paper file;
- Assist Accountants on any matters relating to revenue management functions;
- Assist in the implementation of the asset management standards and policies;
- Provide assistance on Supply Chain Management section in line with the relevant legislation;
- Be available to rotate to various finance units when required to do so.
