Cure Day Hospitals is opening doors for motivated young graduates through its Credit Clerk Learnership Programme, based at the Head Office in Erasmuskloof, Pretoria. This structured 12-month programme offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on financial experience while being mentored by experienced professionals in the healthcare sector.

What the Learnership Offers

Learners will gain practical exposure to the daily operations of a financial office, focusing on supplier accounts, reconciliations, and cashbook management. This is more than just a learnership—it’s a chance to build a career foundation in finance and healthcare administration.

Key responsibilities during the programme include:

  • Assisting with processing and reconciling cashbooks on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Supporting weekly and monthly payment loading on electronic banking systems.
  • Updating the payment app as payments are processed.
  • Monitoring all payments to ensure they clear through the bank and resolving any queries.
  • Processing supplier invoices monthly and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Conducting supplier account reconciliations and resolving unreconciled items.
  • Communicating with hospitals regarding purchases and addressing supplier queries.
  • Managing the ageing of supplier accounts to remain within 30 days.
  • Opening new supplier accounts, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring accurate records.
  • Meeting strict deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Assisting the Group Financial Accountant as required.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related financial field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software (experience in Sage Evolution or Business Dynamics is advantageous).
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively.
  • The ability to remain deadline-driven and perform under supervision.
