Correctional Services (DCS) Graduate Internship Programme 2026/2028

South African graduates often struggle to gain workplace experience after completing their qualifications. Many employers require experience, yet graduates need an opportunity to gain that experience first.

The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) Graduate Internship Programme aims to bridge this gap by providing practical workplace exposure to unemployed graduates through a structured 24-month internship programme.

This programme offers opportunities across a wide range of disciplines including Information Technology, Finance, Law, Psychology, Social Work, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Occupational Health and Safety, Correctional Services Management and many others.

With a monthly stipend of R8,174.75, the programme presents an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain valuable public sector experience while building professional skills that can improve future employability.
