Capricorn TVET College has officially opened applications for the National Certificate: Welding Application and Practice NQF Level 2 Learnership Programme for the 2025/2026 intake. This exciting opportunity is funded by merSETA and is designed to equip South African youth with essential welding skills that can open doors to sustainable employment in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.

The programme invites motivated individuals between the ages of 18 and 35, who are passionate about technical trades, to apply for this one-year structured learnership.

Programme Details

Successful candidates will benefit from the following:

  • Stipend: R2,500.00 per month (based on attendance)
  • Duration: 12 months (1 year)
  • Location: Mokopane at Better Best
  • Start Date: The exact commencement date will be communicated to successful applicants

This learnership offers both classroom-based theory and practical workplace training, ensuring that participants gain hands-on skills while also understanding the academic foundations of welding.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 11 or Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years

This opportunity is specifically targeted at unemployed South African youth who are eager to improve their technical skills and secure future employment.
