Young people from Boshof and Hertzogville in the Tokologo Local Municipality now have an exciting chance to pursue a career in the electrical trade. Boshof Solar Power, in partnership with the Artisan Training Institute, is offering a 3-year Industrial Electrician Learnership Programme designed to equip learners with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications needed to become fully qualified artisans. This programme not only provides technical training but also opens the door to long-term employment opportunities within South Africa’s growing renewable energy and industrial sectors.

About the Learnership

This structured learnership consists of Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 training at the highly regarded Artisan Training Institute (ATI). Over three years, learners will receive intensive theoretical and practical training, preparing them for real-world challenges. At the end of the programme, successful candidates will have the opportunity to complete a trade test and qualify as a fully certified Industrial Electrician.

This initiative reflects the commitment of Boshof Solar Power to uplift local youth by providing sustainable skills development opportunities. It’s not just a learnership; it’s a pathway to a future career in one of the most in-demand fields in the country.

Entry Requirements

To be considered for this learnership, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications: A Grade 12 certificate with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science, or an N2 certificate with four relevant subjects.
  • Medical Assessment: Must successfully pass a medical job-fit assessment (RFA).
  • Residency: Applicants must reside in Boshof or Hertzogville within the Tokologo Local Municipality.
  • Age Limit: Must be between 18 and 30 years old.

These criteria ensure that the programme targets dedicated youth with the potential to succeed in the electrical trade while supporting local community development.
