The Department of Basic Education (DBE) is once again opening doors for young South Africans through its Internship Programme for 2025. This initiative is aimed at providing unemployed graduates with valuable workplace experience, professional exposure, and the opportunity to develop skills aligned with South Africa’s education and administrative needs. With a wide variety of study fields considered, this internship stands out as one of the most inclusive and comprehensive government graduate programmes available.
Purpose of the DBE Internship Programme
The DBE Internship Programme is designed to help bridge the gap between academic studies and employment readiness. Interns are placed within the Department where they gain practical skills, mentoring, and insight into how South Africa’s education system operates. The programme also enhances employability by offering hands-on experience in fields that support the country’s educational and administrative framework.
