Barloworld Equipment invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Component Specialist Apprenticeship Programme (X4 Posts). The closing date for applications has not been specified.

What you will be doing

  • Successfully complete all theoretical learning, practical training and skills assessments
  • Complete documentation for the required experience building (Logbook, Skills, Training records)
  • Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
  • Effective communication, good behaviour, and teamwork
  • Achieve KPI’s and individual balanced scorecard.
  • Effective self-management and performance ownership. Accurate reporting on task completed.
  • Components operator (Qualify on certain component repair)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12/ N3 with Pure Mathematics
  • Grade 12/ N3 with English minimum pass 50%
  • N3/N4 with relevant theory (Motor/Diesel/Electrical) will be an added advantage.
  • Technician for the world certificate (T4W) will be an added advantage.
  • Computer literate will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with basic hand tools and their functionality.
  • Experience in working in a workshop or laboratory with hand tools will be an advantage.
  • Know and understand some basic vehicle components and parts.
  • Willing to work long hours (overtime / Weekends)
  • Competencies: Basic numeracy skills; good analytical skills; accuracy and attention to detail; good time management; sound communication skills and team player
  • Valid motor licence (Code 10 license will be an advantage)
