Adcock Ingram, one of South Africa’s leading pharmaceutical companies, has opened its doors to unemployed youth through the Finance Youth Employment Service (YES) Graduate Programme. This exciting initiative is a 12-month opportunity designed to equip graduates with valuable workplace experience in the finance sector, while also empowering them to transition into the professional world.
For many graduates, the biggest hurdle after completing their studies is securing practical work experience. The Adcock Ingram YES Graduate Programme directly addresses this challenge, offering candidates not just exposure to real-world finance operations, but also mentorship and professional growth in a dynamic business environment.
Programme Objective
The core purpose of this programme is to give unemployed graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on workplace exposure aligned with their field of study. By bridging the gap between academic learning and real industry demands, Adcock Ingram ensures that successful candidates leave the programme better prepared for future employment opportunities.
To further support participants, an allowance will be provided to cover food and travel expenses, making it easier for candidates to focus on learning and contributing during the year.

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree or another relevant Finance qualification.
- Be a recipient of NSFAS funding.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Be unemployed with little to no work experience.
- Meet the definition of “Black People” as defined in the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act 53 of 2003 (as amended by Act 46 of 2013).
These requirements ensure the programme reaches the intended beneficiaries: young, ambitious South Africans who are ready to kickstart their finance careers.

Adcock Ingram is seeking candidates who are not only academically qualified but also demonstrate the right skills and attributes to thrive in the workplace. Applicants should possess:
- Computer literacy with strong proficiency in digital tools.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to be self-driven.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
