Afrisun KZN, trading as Sun Sibaya, is offering a fantastic opportunity for South African youth through the Business Administration Learnership Programme 2026. This initiative reflects Sun International’s commitment to contributing to the country’s national skills development agenda, empowering unemployed individuals with practical workplace experience and a formal qualification in Business Administration.

About the Learnership

The National Certificate in Business Administration (NQF Level 3) learnership is a 12-month accredited programme designed to provide unemployed youth with both theoretical knowledge and workplace exposure. Participants will gain valuable skills in information handling, communications, customer service, technology, self-management, teamwork, and understanding business policies and procedures.

By the end of the programme, learners will not only possess a nationally recognized qualification but also enhance their employability prospects in both the public and private sectors.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Valid South African ID
  • English passed in Matric
  • Ability to work shifts and in a smoking area
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be well-presented, articulate, and self-motivated
  • Demonstrate high levels of initiative, responsibility, and drive

 

 

Key Responsibilities

During the learnership, candidates will be exposed to various administrative functions across the business. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing office functions such as emails, mail, and telephonic communication
  • Checking and maintaining cleanliness of assigned workstations
  • Capturing and updating data into company systems
  • Managing and filing paperwork with correct documentation
  • Reporting suspicious activities or transactions
  • Coordinating administrative procedures to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Supporting the smooth flow of office operations through effective record keeping and organization
