AVBOB, one of South Africa’s leading mutual assurance societies, has partnered with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) to launch the Long Term Insurance Unemployed Learnership Programme 2026. This exciting 12-month programme is designed to give unemployed youth the opportunity to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience in the insurance industry.
The learnership is registered at NQF Level 4 with 140 credits, and successful learners will receive a nationally recognised qualification. If you are passionate about building a future in the financial and insurance sector, this learnership could be your stepping stone to a sustainable career.
Why This Learnership Matters
South Africa’s unemployment rate, particularly among youth, remains a challenge. This programme bridges the gap between education and employment by providing learners with both classroom training and hands-on work experience in AVBOB’s offices nationwide. The exposure not only enhances professional skills but also provides an opportunity to secure long-term employment within the insurance sector.
By the end of the programme, learners will have a deeper understanding of long-term insurance products, customer service, compliance requirements, and business operations. This makes them well-equipped to add value in any insurance-related role.
