  • Hands-on workshop experience
  • Exposure to industrial engineering environments
  • Access to seasoned mentors and artisans
  • A real chance for long-term employment

This is not just training – it is an investment in your professional future.

What Is the Purpose of the Apprenticeship?

The Boilermaker Apprenticeship aims to equip you with the skills, knowledge and workplace exposure you need to eventually qualify as a Boilermaker Artisan.

By the end of the programme, apprentices should be able to work independently and productively, using specialised tools and engineering techniques to construct, repair, maintain and assemble metal components.

You will be trained to:

  • Plan and prepare for boilermaking tasks
  • Work safely with engineering tools and machinery
  • Manufacture steel components
  • Assemble, inspect and commission installations
  • Repair and modify metal structures
  • Work from engineering drawings
  • Measure, cut, weld and shape metal
  • Follow trade-related quality standards
  • Apply theoretical knowledge in real workshop conditions

This is a career for people who enjoy building things, solving problems, and working with their hands.
