Eligibility Requirements (Who Should Apply?)

To qualify for the SAIPA 2026 Scholarship, applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:

Citizenship & Education

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be currently in Grade 12 OR have completed matric within the last two years

Academic Requirements

  • Minimum 70% average in:
    • Mathematics
    • English

Study Intent

  • Must intend to enrol in a full-time BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent)
  • Must study at an accredited South African public university

Financial Need

  • Household income must not exceed R350,000 per year
  • For students with disabilities: income threshold increases to R600,000 per year
