Eligibility Requirements (Who Should Apply?)
To qualify for the SAIPA 2026 Scholarship, applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:
Citizenship & Education
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be currently in Grade 12 OR have completed matric within the last two years
Academic Requirements
- Minimum 70% average in:
- Mathematics
- English
Study Intent
- Must intend to enrol in a full-time BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent)
- Must study at an accredited South African public university
Financial Need
- Household income must not exceed R350,000 per year
- For students with disabilities: income threshold increases to R600,000 per year
This scholarship is means-tested. Strong academic performance alone is not enough — financial need must be clearly demonstrated.
